Our Curriculum

Our curriculum has been accredited by the National Lutheran Schools Association and Cognia, both nationally and state recognized.

Mathmatics

Saavas enVision Mathematics for grades K-5 combines
problem-based learning and visual learning to deepen students’ conceptual understanding. enVision is used by classrooms across the
country and around the world.

enVision packs a unique one-two punch. Lessons start with Problem-Based Learning (PBL), where students must think critically about a real-world math problem, evaluate options, collaborate, and present solutions. This is followed by Visual Learning to solidify the underlying math concepts. It’s the best way to help kids better understand math ideas.

English Language Arts

Grounded in the Science of Reading, Saavas myView Literacy’s explicit daily foundational skills instruction coupled with its commitment to building knowledge paves an engaging road to reading and writing success.

Religion

The Christian Character Formation Project guides participants through a unique process that deepens their understanding of Identity (who I am), Purpose (why I exist), and Actions (how my actions serve a Greater Purpose). Our process unfolds within the greater context of Scripture and the advancement of God’s plan for us here and in eternity. The result is internally held character that motivates acts of virtue.

Seven key virtues are explored and practiced throughout the process. While these virtues are an essential part of the process, virtuous living is not the end goal. Rather, virtues are a means to accomplish Greater Purpose.

Science and Social Studies

The Core Knowledge Science curriculum offers comprehensive materials to teach science concepts and develop science practices through student reading, science content acquisition, and hands-on activities. Based on the 2023 Core Knowledge Sequence, the curriculum helps students build knowledge in the life, physical, and earth/space sciences, human body, and computer science, as well as engineering design.

Core Knowledge Social Studies is a comprehensive program in world and American history and geography, integrating topics in civics, economics, and the arts. Core Knowledge History and Geography helps students build knowledge of American History, and of the diverse civilizations, cultures, and concepts specified in the Core Knowledge Sequence
